A CFO for the business you have now.

Senior finance help a few days a month instead of five days a week. You get the thinking, the forecast and the steady monthly rhythm, without a full-time salary.

Who it is for

This is for you if

  • You have a bookkeeper, but nobody tells you what the numbers mean.
  • You are growing and the decisions are getting bigger: hiring, space, equipment.
  • You want a forecast you trust before talking to a bank.
  • You are tired of being the only one who worries about cash.

It is probably not for you if

  • You only need your books kept or taxes filed. A bookkeeper or CPA is a better fit, and we can point you to one.
  • You are looking for personal investment or retirement advice. We focus on business finance only.
  • You already have a full-time finance leader who has it covered.
Included each month

What a month looks like.

The same four steps, every month, so you always know what is coming and when. Between steps, you can call or email us with questions.

Days 1 to 5

Close the month

We work with your bookkeeper to finish and check last month's numbers.

Books you can rely on, with odd items flagged and explained.

Days 6 to 10

Report

We prepare your one-page report and a short written summary.

Cash, profit, runway and budget vs actual, on a single page.

Days 11 to 14

Review meeting

About an hour together, in person or on a call. Your questions go first.

A clear read on the month and a short list of decisions.

Days 15 to 30

Plan and support

We update the forecast, model the decisions in front of you and help with bank or board updates.

A forecast that stays current and a partner on call.

How we start

Three steps to your first report.

No big setup project. We start small, learn how your business works and build from there. See how it works for the full picture.

  1. 01

    Free first call

We talk about your business, what is worrying you and what you want to change. If we are not the right fit, we say so.

  2. 02

    Look under the hood

You give us read-only access to your accounting software and bank feeds. We review the last year and note what needs fixing.

  3. 03

    First month together

We build your forecast and first one-page report, then sit down to walk through it. From then on, the monthly rhythm takes over.

Questions

Fair questions.

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.

How is this different from my bookkeeper or accountant?

Your bookkeeper records what happened. Your tax accountant makes sure you file correctly. We look forward: what the numbers mean, what is coming and what to do about it. We work alongside both.

Do I need to change my accounting software?

Usually not. We work with the common small business tools. If something is holding you back, we will explain why and let you decide.

How much time will this take from me?

The monthly review is about an hour. Beyond that, we may send a few questions while we close the month. The point is to take work off your plate, not add to it.

Can you work with us remotely?

Yes. We are based in Madison, Wisconsin and happy to meet in person nearby, but most of the work happens just as well on video calls and shared documents.

How is pricing set?

We agree a flat monthly fee based on the size of your business and what you need, so there are no surprise invoices. We share it in writing after the first call.

Do you give investment or tax advice?

No. We focus on business finance: cash, planning, reporting and decisions. For tax filing we work with your CPA, and we do not recommend or sell investments.

See if a fractional CFO fits.

A short, free call. You talk, we listen, and you leave with at least one useful idea either way.
