Tree care in Chattanooga, TN

We climb so you don’t have to.

Pruning, removals, stump grinding and storm cleanup, done carefully and cleaned up after. Free estimates, in writing.

Who we are

Most trees don’t need cutting down. They need the right cuts.

We’re a crew of climbers who prune, remove and clean up after storms, for homeowners who want the job done safely and the yard left tidy.

If a tree can be saved, we’ll say so. If it has to come down, we take it down in pieces, lowered on ropes, with nothing dropped on your roof.

Is my tree okay?

Tap the tree. See what to look for.

Six things we get asked about most, how to spot them from the ground and how soon to call. When in doubt, send us a photo.

Dead wood up top

Worth a call soon
What you might see
Bare branches while the rest of the tree is in leaf. Bark sliding off a limb. Twigs that snap instead of bend.
What we would do
We climb in and take the dead wood out before it comes down on its own. It is usually part of a regular pruning visit.
Send us a photo of it

A hanging limb

Call today
What you might see
A broken branch caught up in the canopy, still hanging there after a storm or a windy night.
What we would do
We rope it and lower it in a controlled way. Please don’t try to pull it down, and keep people, pets and cars out from under it.
What to do right now

Over the roof or wires

Worth a call soon
What you might see
Branches resting on shingles or gutters, scraping in the wind, or hanging over the driveway. Limbs growing toward the line to your house.
What we would do
We prune back for clearance and lower cut pieces on ropes so nothing drops on the roof. Anything touching a power line goes to the utility first, and we work with them after.

Cracks and cavities

Worth a call soon
What you might see
Long cracks in the trunk, hollow spots, shelf fungus or mushrooms growing from the bark, wet patches that ooze.
What we would do
A tree health check. We look closely, sound the wood and tell you whether pruning or cabling can keep it, or whether it should come down.

A new lean

Call today
What you might see
A lean that wasn’t there last month. Soil lifting or cracking on the side away from the lean.
What we would do
Keep clear and call us. A sudden lean can mean the roots have let go, and that is something we want to see the same day.
What to do right now

Roots and the base

Keep an eye on it
What you might see
Mushrooms around the base, roots cut by digging or a new driveway, soil or mulch piled up against the trunk.
What we would do
We check the root zone, clear soil back off the flare and tell you what to watch for. Often the answer is a calm wait and see.

  • Stay well away from any wire touching the tree. Call the power company first.
  • Don’t cut, climb or pull on anything that is under tension.
  • Take photos from a safe spot. Your insurer will want them.
