A calm room by the falls

Ondine is a Pilates studio in Greenville’s West End, made for people who want to feel strong, stand tall and enjoy an hour that is entirely their own.

Our story

Why Ondine?

In the old stories, Ondine is a spirit of the water: graceful, steady and stronger than she looks. A few minutes from our door, the Reedy River tumbles over the falls. The name felt like home.

We wanted a studio that feels like a deep breath. Somewhere a first timer feels welcome on day one, a long-time practitioner still feels challenged, and nobody worries about looking the part.

So we keep things simple: clear instruction, options for every body, beautiful light and a team that is genuinely glad to see you.

What to bring

A short list. We have the reformers, mats, rings, balls and warm welcome covered.

Grip socks

Required on the reformer. There will be pairs at the desk if you forget.

Water

A bottle to sip between sequences.

Fitted clothing

Soft and stretchy, so your instructor can guide your alignment.

An open mind

No experience or flexibility required. Curiosity is plenty.

The teachers

The people who will learn your name

Four teachers, one shared habit: they notice the small things and offer the right option at the right moment.

First visit questions

Wondering about something else? Write to us below and a real person will reply.

I have never done Pilates. Is that all right?

Completely. Most people begin as beginners. Book Reformer Foundations or Mat Pilates and let your instructor know it is your first time.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, fitted clothing you can move in, so your instructor can see your alignment. Grip socks are required on the reformer.

Do I need to be flexible or fit already?

Not at all. Pilates builds strength and mobility over time. Every exercise has options, and you may rest whenever you like.

Can I come if I am pregnant?

Our Prenatal Pilates class is designed for pregnancy. Please check with your doctor or midwife before you begin, and tell your instructor how you are feeling each time.

What if I have an injury?

Let your instructor know before class so they can offer alternatives. For anything ongoing, please speak with your doctor or physical therapist first.

How early should I arrive?

Ten minutes before your first class. That gives us time to welcome you and set up your reformer.
